چکیده

We answer a question of T. Shioda and show that, for any positive integer m prime to 6, the Picard group of the Fermat surface Φm is generated by the classes of lines contained in Φm. A few other classes of surfaces are also considered.

[email protected] ELLIPTIC CURVE CONFIGURATIONS ON FANO SURFACES

We give the classification of the configurations of the elliptic curves on the Fano surface of a smooth cubic threefold. That means that we give the number of such curves, their intersections and a plane model. This classification is linked to the classification of the automorphism groups of theses surfaces. The Fano surface of the Fermat cubic of P is the only one to contain 30 elliptic curves...

Kummer Surfaces and K3 Surfaces with (z/2z) Symplectic Action

In the first part of this paper we give a survey of classical results on Kummer surfaces with Picard number 17 from the point of view of lattice theory. We prove ampleness properties for certain divisors on Kummer surfaces and we use them to describe projective models of Kummer surfaces of (1, d)polarized Abelian surfaces for d = 1, 2, 3. As a consequence we prove that in these cases the Néron–...

The Zeta-function of Monomial Deformations of Fermat Hypersurfaces

This paper intends to give a mathematical explanation for results on the zeta-function of some families of varieties recently obtained in the context of Mirror Symmetry [4], [9]. In doing so, we obtain concrete and explicit examples for some results recently used in algorithms to count points on smooth hypersurfaces in Pn. In particular, we extend the monomial-motive correspondence of Kadir and...

Supersingular Curves on Picard Modular Surfaces modulo an Inert Prime

We study the supersingular curves on Picard modular surfaces modulo a prime p which is inert in the underlying quadratic imaginary ...eld. We analyze the automorphic vector bundles in characteristic p; and as an application derive a formula relating the number of irreducible components in the supersingular locus to the second Chern class of the surface. The characteristic p ...bers of Shimura v...

Digital cohomology groups of certain minimal surfaces

In this study, we compute simplicial cohomology groups with different coefficients of a connected sum of certain minimal simple surfaces by using the universal coefficient theorem for cohomology groups. The method used in this paper is a different way to compute digital cohomology groups of minimal simple surfaces. We also prove some theorems related to degree properties of a map on digital sph...
